Dear Central Life Family,

What a year 2020 has turned out to be. Certainly, there is much we would change if we could. And yet, there is so much God has done to celebrate! It is abundantly clear that a church family that is hopeful always finds a way to be helpful. The scriptures tells us…

“When right-living people bless the city, it flourishes…”
Proverbs 11:11

That is exactly what God is doing through the Central Life family on the Space Coast. Despite its difficulties, 2020 has been a flourishing year! I wanted to remind you of a few significant things that happened in our ministry:

THE FOOD DRIVE: This Spring while we were not having physical services we turned all of our campuses into drive through food drop offs. Over the course of two months you gave 10 tons of food to our local partner Brevard Sharing Center. The impact was so significant they saved 6 weeks of food budget expenses and reallocated those funds to other community needs.

STRATEGIC PARTNERS: In 2019 we were able to invest $100,000 in local and global missions work through our various partners. Because of your generosity, we reached that amount by September and have continued past it. 2020 will be a record year of investment and giving to Gospel missions around the world.

SERVE DAY: On July 11th there were 137 dream-teamers participating in our annual serve day projects across the Space Coast. Having partnered with 7 local organizations and investing hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars we cheerfully served 440 people in our community. We continued that same heart of serving on September 11th and shared 100 meals with first responders across our communities.

These are just a few highlights of the impact we’re making together in 2020. As always, I still believe the best is yet to come! As we look forward, I want to announce to you that our Legacy Offering is right around the corner. It’s our annual celebration of generous giving! God gave his best in Jesus, so we bring our best gift to the Legacy Offering each Christmas season.

Each year at this time we pause to reflect and focus on our primary purpose in life — to make a difference in the lives of others. This is what our Legacy Offering is all about. It’s a special, once-a-year offering we give over and above our tithes and offerings to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s a great opportunity to accelerate  the vision of our church and reach more people with the Good News of Jesus.

With great joy I want you to understand that we have VISION of what could be that is 10x the amount of our annual income. We have God sized dreams. Our Legacy Offering helps us take a step forward every year into these dreams. Let me tell you about them...

1. Global Missions.
Through our strategic ministry partnerships around the world, we have the opportunity to raise up more leaders, share the gospel, and strengthen missional work all around the globe. We have partners positioned and serving in North America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Israel just to name a few. This offering reflects the heart of our God, who loves the whole world (John 3:16) and responds to the cry of Jesus to “go into all the world” (Matthew 28:19).

2. Church Planting.
It is no surprise that we need healthy and growing churches. Our heart is that every family, neighborhood, workplace and city would have access to such a church. With continued partnership with Association of Related Churches we are planning for the greatest year of church planting in our ministry’s lifespan.

3. Family Ministry.
I believe we’ll all look back one day and say that the greatest investment we ever made was to train and equip young leaders to go change the world for Christ. This offering will fuel our efforts to build dynamic environments for CL Kids, CL Students. Our hope is to expand our leadership team in this area of ministry in the coming year.

4. Construction Of A New Facility.
After three decades of use it has become apparent that it is time to beautify and build on our Cocoa West property. A design plan is in the works to not only develop a new facility but to seize all of the potential of the acreage we own. Our Legacy Offering is a valuable part of building the necessary margin to step into a project like this.

The beautiful thing about this offering is that it is for future initiatives and ministry. It won’t be used for debt, we don’t have any. It won’t be used to make up a budget deficit, we don’t have any. This offering will be used to strengthen and build our ministry impact moving into to 2021 and beyond. You don’t have to give from impulse or guilt. Instead ask the Lord how He would want you to participate, and give with joy.

This year’s Legacy Offering culminates Sunday, December 13, 2020. We’re encouraging everyone to join us on this special day. Our goal is not for a certain amount to be given, but for everyone to participate in some way. It’s not about equal giving, but equal sacrifice.

As always, it’s between you and the Lord, and I trust Him for however He speaks to you. Just simply ask God, “What should I give?”

There are two ways you can participate:

1. Bring your offering on or before Sunday, December 13 and give in the service. (Special envelopes will be provided.)
2. Give online at centrallife.org under “Legacy Offering”

I am honored to join with you in the cause that counts.

I love being your pastor!
